LET THE SHOWS BEGIN!

And we're off! There is nothing like starting your blog "officially" on April Fools Day. It pretty well sums it up for me. I like having fun. I like good food and beer. It's that simple. The way life should be. When I talked to John Ortino about doing some events here at the Northside, ( or talked him into it), I didn't want to do the exact same thing as everybody else. I want to put my "evil spin" on things. Those who know me all too well are shuddering in anticipation (or their shoes). So why start with a session beer dinner? I mean 5.5% or less alcohol? Where is triple i.p.a. night? Where is bottomless Belgian night? Wait, now there is an evil idea. But, i digress. The reason was quite simple. Nobody, and I mean nobody was doing anything like that in the bar business. It's not a campaign to rid the world of big extreme beers or to turn the Northside into a session place. Instead, it was a gentle reminder of all the great beers we have out there. The ones we drink at deck parties and on a Sunday night after a long weekend. The Bryson Sessions are about looking at the seasonal session beers and the food that goes with them. It's not so much a pairing as it is ENJOYING. Good friends, good food, good beer. Pretty simple isn't it.
