Hello there, maybe you found this site by luck, or maybe I told you about it. Whatever the case may be, welcome! This is not some fancy blog, with me posting on it all day, but one that has "just the facts". You know, the important things in life. The tap list, events coming up, and specials. Yeah, I'm even going to comment on some of the stuff I will be doing here. So grab a beer and relax, the show is getting ready to start.

THIS JUST IN

There is good news and then, there is sad news. First the good news. The brand new spanking cooler is in and being stocked as we speak. (Or as you read) That means a REAL UPDATED bottle list is only moments away. The sad news is the special beer dinner is being put on hold because of distributing problems. They promise to make us the first stop when things get back to normal. And now the really good news. 07-07-07- STONE SOUL PICNIC Start time around one o'clock with all kinds of Stone goodies to make your hop heart skip a beat. Also, what kind of picnic would it be without bar-b-que? So stay tuned for major updates in the next couple of days!

BELGIAN ALMOST COMES TO Z-TOWN

Back in May when this lovely idea came up, it was a takeoff on the upcoming Cooperstown event in late July. We would have 15 or so great drafts and a boatload of food specials. Then some crazy stuff started to happen, in a good way. First was Rob Tod from Allagash hitting a bunch of places, (Must have just missed his call) followed by Teresa's Next Door finally opening in Wayne, (GREAT PLACE) and our future beer dinner/weekend is getting a little too close for comfort. Not to mention a number of other great events in the area. All in all, a little too much for even the best of beer drinkers. "I don't care what event you go to, just pick one", I can hear the battle cry now. So we will save a couple of those lovely gems for later, but we will still have a bunch of great Belgian drafts on, and a few Belgian food specials. And on Father's day, stop on by in your favorite shirt, tie or hat that the kids gave you and we will take a dollar off your Belgian drafts. Now that doesn't sound so bad does it? Stay tuned for updates for the events that every body has been bugging me about, HOPS STUFF!

ROAD CREW AND UPDATED TAP LIST!

So sorry about the tap list. I was there Thursday night to get all the updates, when two damsels in distress needed some help with a flat tire. We all crowded around and agreed, yep it was flat alright. There was no luck in getting the spare out (long story) so we tried to get some AAA service to find out where they were located. More fun ensued trying to tell the them that Zieglerville does indeed exist and we are really there. Well in all the commotion I left my updates by Keg Mountain. So I hope to have the real final update later today and some great news for Fathers Day! THE TAP LIST IS UPDATED AS OF 5pm

THE SESSION REPORT DAY THREE

12:17 p.m. Exactly 12 hours earlier, I helped Del, from Deep Pond Brewing, escape the evil clutches of what every man loves and fears: PBS or private beer stash. Oh, it starts innocently enough, but the next thing you know the sun is coming up and you forgot to bring milk home for the kids. Inside the bar, the victims of an earlier plague, the deadly "Grand Cru", were strewn about. Glasses were piled high and the numerous empty bottles told me Santa was indeed there. As the cleanup began and the combatants were putting the finishing touches on the BBQ, I attempted to go into Keg Mountain. Lucky for me that John had on some hiking gear or I might have been lost in a Belgian crevice. Moments later, Sara "Rocks" hightail it into town after a nice bike ride to find her car and phone from the night before. After a quick breakfast of pizza and a energy drink, she was back up to speed. At 1:15 the first fine folks of the day showed up, and by 3, the place was moving and grooving. The brewing dignitaries were there as well as the beer press. Though we didn't get to our 25, we did get a right smart number which includes : Weyerbacher Blanche, Church Brew Works Dunkel, Legacy Midnight Wit, Rock Bottom Czech Mate Pils, East End Brewing Fat Gary Ale, Brooklyn Brown Ale, Flying Fish Farmhouse Summer Ale, General Lafayette's Churchill's Mild, Allagash White, Stoudts Weizen, Union Barrel Works Kolsch, Sly Fox British Pale Ale, Legacy Reading Pilsner, Dogfish Shelter Pale Ale, Nodding Head Berliner Weisse, East End Brewing Wheat Hop, Iron Hill Belgian Pale Ale in cask, along with Nodding Head Prudence Pale Ale and All Night Ale also in cask. Oh and our extreme beer Oud Beersel Framboise for a grand total of twenty beers. Not to shabby for the first time around. The grand winner of the smoke off in a messy vote was Scott"Euphoria" Baver. The Legacy folks get to come to Northside later in the year for a very special vertical tasting night. All in all, A great day! See you again next year maybe?

HALLELUJAH!!!

It's over! It's really over! My nearly three week ordeal at the hands of the evil computer has finally come to an end. I would like to thank The Jethro Bodine Computer School for all my right smart learning and of course the mysterious "Sodaman" for giving me final lesson in how to beat the machines. Take that sky net!
