EVERYBODY MUST GUESS WHAT STONE

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon I pulled in to The Northside, to be greeted by Mr. O who said "Dan, I haven't found the Stone IPA anywhere." Crap, that means another dangerous mission into keg mountain. For those who need a mental look of this, just imagine going into your bedroom and instead of furniture there was nothing but kegs. And on top of those kegs were, well, more kegs. And in the closet, you guessed it more kegs. To get into the room you would have to take down some kegs so you could crawl in there to change one. I found a large bag of carrots in there, which leads me to believe that there is a homeless horse living in there too. So after much searching I found another keg of Stone Pale Ale and the big guy hooks it up. Wow, this tastes like a Pale Ale, so what the hell was in that other keg that said Pale Ale that I was raving about? When the BA judges got there, we began a thoughtful taste test. The judges and (Shangy by phone) came to only one conclusion, It had to be the Double Bastard. I guess that is one fine mistake to make. I found nobody who was complaining about that! The great kitchen staff and Mr. O then proceeded to kick out some right smart BBQ buffet stuff that filled many a belly. My other small mistake was the 2003 bottle, it was a Arrogant Bastard which got opened later that night. (When your in keg mountain and you are reaching down in a crevice to get this, you are taking your own life in your hands.) Even though the full "dessert buffet" didn't come out, it was a fun time. Much thanks to all who could make it, and of course the lovely Erin for taking care of the early bar.

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE STONED

Good day fine people! Can it get any nicer out? Okay, once you have a beer in your hand it will be perfect. The final bit of dirt is this: The fun gets underway at 1pm outside by the patio bar, where the lovely Erin will be working. At around 3 or 3:30 the bar-b-que buffet will come out. It's $15 and is all you can eat and there is a lot of stuff. There will be special prices on all Stone brews today only. (In House, not take out) The good, Stone Pale Ale which knocked our socks off last night during a "quality control tasting". The bad, we only got about 2 dozen glasses to sell and people were already trying to buy them. The Stoned, all us "worthy bastards". See you there!

I SAY NO, NO, NO!

My friend Amy was right, I didn't want to go to rehab. But after the last of June and the July Fourth week, I broke down. So me and Lindsay and Brittany went to rehab the other week. What fun!! We laughed, we cried, we shaved each other. But now I am back, and I doubt that could ever be a good thing. Let's take a little look see what the h e double hockey sticks is going on. The beer bottle list is DONE! A right smart fine job by Sara "Rocks" Only one problem though, now we are drinking up all the bottles on the list! Hey somebody has to do it. Of course the big news is our little Stone Soul Picnic this Saturday at 1pm till ? Mr. O always kicks out the bar-b-que smoking jam, so do not miss it! We also just might announce our next event date and a little contest to go with it. So come on down!
